This is the only French game available from Playtech and it is the most complicated game on this site. To begin with, you may notice that the table layout is different from other games but this is normal; the French game always has a different layout and it doesn’t take too long to get used to it. What makes this game complicated is the Call bets and how you utilize them. More information about all of this can be found below.
First, let’s get the basics out of the way. French Roulette offers the best odds of any roulette game because the 0 slot pays back half of losing bets (outside bets only). So, if you had a $5 bet on a Dozen and the zero hit, you would get $2.50 back. French Roulette is the only game online that has this rule (with the exception of Mini Roulette but that has much worse odds in the first place).
As with all Playtech games, you can turn the animation off by enabling “Fast Play” which means that you don’t need to watch the ball spin around. To access this setting, hover your mouse over the spanner in the top right hand corner and then click on “Options”. Once you’ve done this, click on “Game Settings” and finally, enable or disable fast play depending on your preferences. You can also change the colour of the table and your view of the game in the top left hand corner of the game. It’s worth playing around with those settings for a minute or so to find your preferred settings.
As mentioned higher up, this game is the most complicated on the site because of the way the Call bets are used. Unlike most games with these bets such as Premium European Roulette, you can’t see the Racetrack. To begin with, you access them in the bottom right hand corner of the game by clicking on “Announce Bets” which will bring up a list of all your options.
You will see many bets called “Finales En Plein” which is the French name for the Final bets. You will also so “Finales A Cheval” which is similar to a Final bet but it is for two numbers and these bets are achieved via Split bets where possible and then Straight Up bets.
The Neighbour bets are also accessible in the bottom right hand corner of the game and you can choose from 1-4 Neighbours. More information about all of these bets can be found in our Roulette Bets section.
Due to the fact that French Roulette has the best odds of all roulette games, it should be your game of choice, especially when real money is on the line. We also have another French Roulette Game From Net Entertainment which you may want to play. It has the same rules as this game but completely different graphics.
